Minister of the Food Industry and Fishing visited Artemisa

Artemisa, Cuba – For the fulfillment of the productive plans, the quality and safety of food and the respect for the metrology standards, was interested during her tour through the province of Artemisa, the Minister of the Food Industry and Fishing, María del Carmen Concepción González.

During an exchange with the workers of the Coffee Producer Entity, January 1, she inquired about the approaches of the people of Artemisa regarding the quality of the coffee produced by the unit, now in the process of maintenance due to the high level of technological obsolescence.

In an exchange with the member of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party and its first Secretary in the province of Artemisa, José Antonio Valeriano Fariñas, the Minister informed on the investments in the fishing areas in the municipality of Mariel and about the projections of the development program in the province in function to organize and expand the food industry.

Among the investments in the sector of the province, announced the delivery of 2 bakery-confectionery modules, and with the agricultural potentials of the territory the exploitation of the canning industry.
