The Public Health Sector highlights the family nurse and doctor program

The Public Health Sector in San Antonio de los Baños highlighted the consistent work carried out in the territory by the family nurse and doctor to bring primary health care to all residents.

Since they were created in 1984, Ariguanabo’s family nurses and doctors work in the control of health applied to the family and the biopsychosocial conception of the patient. In San Antonio de los Baños, family doctor offices have a protagonist team in the environment work, community orientation, disease prevention and health promotion.

Dr. Yamilet Borrego Morales, Head of the Maternal and Child Care Program in the territory and Deputy Director of Public Health in Ariguanabo, reported that despite the difficulties with some resources, the social work of the family nurse and doctor in the municipality has the required stability, as a true achievement of the Revolution in favor of the people.
