The urban agriculture promotes the planting of fruit trees
The National Movement of Urban, Sub-Urban and Family Agriculture promotes the planting of fruit trees in San Antonio de los Baños , so the monitoring and control for the creation of nursery gardens is the premise to guarantee such an effort, says Yaima Hernández, Director of the Base Business Unit (UEB) Granja Urbana in Ariguanabo.
She also points out that the CCS Jesús Menéndez stands out, with 10 products and with the compliance of the planting plan. In addition to guava, mango and avocado, others are incorporated such as anon, cashew, mandarin, cherimoya, guanabana, passion fruit, among others, to rescue these fruits and maintain their presence on the market during the year.
She states that all the productive forms are prepared for the tour of the National Movement of Urban, Sub-Urban and Family Agriculture to take place in March, promoting the cultivation of fruit trees.
