Minister of Energy and Mines evaluates control of energy bearers in Artemisa

Artemisa, Cuba – The Minister of Energy and Mines, Alfredo López Valdés, headed in Artemisa a working meeting in which he evaluated the use and control of energy bearers.

During the exchange, the strategies designed by each company and entity were checked, in order to supervise through daily samplings the demand of diesel fuel and electricity, as a key link in the progressive development of the Cuban economy.

With the presence of the member of the Central Committee and first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) in Artemisa José Antonio Valeriano Fariñas and Teresa Martínez Mendaro, head of the Provincial Administration Council, was known that the major oil consuming companies are AZCUBA, the food industry and the agriculture.

The territory applies alternatives to boost the control of diesel fuel, in order to be used in the planned works, a commitment to which the managers at the base should give more attention.

For the activity of public transport of passengers, the province assumes 152 routes and after the sampling of each vehicle in October, the collection increased in a 42 percent and the cost per liter of fuel is of 12 pesos.
