Certainly there would not be a world without women being protagonists of unique stories that will forever exalt the work of life. Walking through Ariguanabo’s streets makes me a lover of life and years; anxious to meet many people who keep within their daily lives an impressive story.
Mariela Arencibia Álvarez, daughter of San Antonio de los Baños, is still accompanied by the same love, simplicity and dedication to her profession with those who, 30 years ago, began her working life in the Telecommunications Company (ETECSA) of the municipality.
Her low voice makes difficult to know her person, however, it is impressive to see how she communicates about new offers and possibilities of telephony and the current technological revolutions, always with an enviable security.
Mariela is an exclusive Ariguanabense, her trajectory by the Telecommunications Company is very significant, founder of this institution in the nineties. In a central corner in the Villa of Humor, there is Mariela’s second house: her work, to which she was devoted from the age of eighteen, becoming an essential worker of communications in the territory.
Today her knowledge is so extensive that it forces her to train generations. Today Mariela is more than a worker of ETECSA. Mariela is that granite of people that leaves a legacy, turning it for many people into a treasure.
Mariela is proudly part of the telecommunications in Cuba; daughter of where there is a river, magic smile and indispensable name that will continue being that source, where, without rest, the greatness of her heart flows.
