Tribute to Fidel by delegation from Artemisa
Artemisa, Cuba – A group of 28 persons from the province of Artemisa, mostly young, arrived at the cemetery Santa Ifigenia of Santiago de Cuba this weekend to pay tribute to the leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro three months after his physical disappearance.
Excited by the sense of the historical moment and the solemnity of the sacred monument of the country, the young people assured to keep alive the work of Fidel materialized in the Revolution.
Mabel Martínez, integrated the delegation of Artemisa in the tribute to the eternal Commander in Chief and said that arriving in Santiago was a dream of her as director of the Mausoleum of the Martyrs of Artemisa from where the sons of the province set out to meet Fidel in Santiago and initiate the attack on the military fortress in the name of the freedom and dignity of the country.
Also the delegation of Artemisa dedicated some time to pay tribute to the National Hero José Martí in the Mausoleum erected to his memory in Santa Ifigenia.
During its stay in the Cradle of the Revolution, the delegation exchanged with leaders of political and mass organizations of the Hero City and visited other historical centers, witnesses of the events of July 26, such as the Civil Hospital “Saturnino Lora”, the Palace Of Justice, the Park “Abel Santamaría Cuadrado” and La Granjita Siboney, among other places.
