Internet service in 9 000 homes

‘”Nauta Hogar service began to be marketed in Artemisa in December 2017; that year it closed with 37 users. And in late  April 2021 the province has more than 9,000 ‘?, said  Leidy Alfonso, Communication specialist in ETECSA  Territorial Division.

All municipalities have the service, but it is still an order to take it to other locations. “We have not been able to extend it according to user demand, because it involves high technical requirements,” Alfonso explained.

‘”The service must be in the area where it is marketed; that depends on the proximity to the telephone central  or the cabinet. It is important to take into  account   the conditions of the customer’s telephone pair ‘?.

 Being online  from home is not only comfortable, but also an excellent choice for teleworking and accessing information from distance classes.

 “The offer has had changes  since  the beginning: the price has decreased and the available hours of connectivity have increased,” the specialist explains.

‘”During 2021 second half we expect an increase in Nauta Hogar customers, because a new modality will be commercialized, no longer through ADSL technology, but through mobile technology: 4G.

‘”This year we plan to install 930 new services, 500 already in operation. Popular councils such as El Gabriel, in Güira de Melena; Baracoa and San Pedro Beach, in Bauta; José Martí, in San Cristóbal; Ceiba del Agua, in Caimito and Zayas and Nodarse, in Mariel already   have  the service.

‘”The territory has 66 popular councils and  43 already have the service. The municipalities with more  services  are Artemisa (2 146), San Cristóbal (1 155), San Antonio de los Baños (11 158) and Bauta (931) ‘?.
