Get ready for school year beginning

Actions in the organizational, preventive, methodological work and preparation of managers and teachers, will mark the work of educational institutions in the territory to guarantee the closure of the 2020-2021 school year and the preparation and start of the next one.

If the epidemiological situation allows it, the beginning   of teaching activities is planned in September, with 19 weeks available for the end of the current school year on January 22.

“By ensuring the quality of the teaching processes, teachers methodological training   is hasa key role from the curricular adjustments, which focus their work on the diagnosis of the students,” said Martha Suárez Ledón, provincial deputy director of Education.

“By viewing television activities, our educators will be able to systematize the content during the first three weeks, and then apply the school evaluation process,” she added.

Suarez   pointed out that “maintenance works are now prioritized in order to guarantee the required hygienic and sanitary conditions.”

In addition, during the vacation period, the certification process will take place for all institutions, in charge of the provincial Health Management, to legitimize them as safe places, Suárez Ledón revealed.

“We have identified 140 facilities for vaccinations and nine as isolation centers for suspects of COVID-19, whose delivery in August was previously coordinated with Public Health, but not before carrying out a process of disinfection and certification,” Martha said.
