Gilberto Santa Rosa and Gente de Zona Bring Music to Ecuador
Quito, Feb 26 (Prensa Latina) Puerto Rican recognized singer Gilberto Santa Rosa and the popular Cuban group Gente de Zona will offer concerts in Ambato, in the framework of the Festival of Flowers and Fruits in 2017, in the Ecuadorian city.
The show by the Puerto Rican singer, nicknamed ‘The Gentleman of Salsa Music’, will take place this evening, on the esplanade of the municipality, said the organizers of the festival.
Santa Rosa will perform songs from his latest album, and established songs as:Conteo regresivo, Sin Voluntad, Me Volvieron a Hablar De Ella, Vivir sin Ella, Yo No Te Pido, among others.
The people from Ambato can also enjoy good Cuban music, on Sunday, through the voices and the contagious rhythm of Gente de Zona, winners of the Latin GRAMMY in 2014 with the song: Bailando, a collaboration with Cuban Descemer Bueno and Spanish Enrique Iglesias.
‘La Gozadera’ y ‘Traidora’ two songs, in collaboration with salsa star Marc Anthony and ‘Mas Macarena’ by Gente de Zona and Los del Rio (Spain) will be part of the presentation, together with others.
The Festival of Flowers and Fruits started in 1951, two years after an earthquake on August 5, 1949 as a sample of solidarity and optimism to help to the recuperation for the damage by the nutural disaster, which affected the towns of Pelileo and Ambato (Tungurahua).
