The Recent Mixed Enterprise for Food Production
A mixed enterprise between the S.A. (CORALSA) Food Corporation from Cuba and the Italian TECAL PRO SRL one was officially created after the signature of legal agreement by both sides, under the COMITAL S.A name and it would be dedicated to the fresh stuffed-paste production as it is a traditional food of the European country.
The investment process will start in the upcoming September in Habana del Este (East Havana) capital municipality and it is programed to be in production in the first months of the next year.
Elizabetta Pola, who is the female president of the TECAL PRO SRL. Italian enterprise, highlighted to the Press after the signature of the document that they have spent over 20 years of a proper work with different business in Cuba with many benefits for both parts and the related spectrum of possibilities is broadened in Cuba.
Regarding the Cuban side, Nelson Arias Moreno who is the president of CORALSA, explained the related advantages through this new opening of bilateral opportunities completely beneficial and being able to increase the food production.
The official pointed out that the productions are based on delicious Italian food with great acceptation among the Cubans and the main raw material will be supplied by the host nation which contribute to one of the nation´s firm purposes in terms of reducing the related resources brought from overseas.
The benefits, according to the contract, will be distributed to equal parts and that is to say that the 50 % for each shareholders. The COMITAL S.A becomes the tenth and first business with foreign investment in the food industry and it is the second one that in a six-month period as a new mixed enterprise under the protection of the 118 law in the sector.
The new enterprise will have the production and trade of the fresh stuffed-pastes, the egg and frozen ones as a social goal and it will be dedicated to the local tourism and popular gastronomy. That investment will cost $ 3.3 million Cuban peso-currency, as well as a factory with a modern and automatic technology where it will be guaranteed the methods of productions, according to the European related regulations.
