Venezuela and Cuba End Review of Joint Projects

Caracas -Venezuela and Cuba are concluding here today the ninth quarterly meeting aimed at analyzing and improving cooperation projects between the two nations.
After several days of evaluation, the two delegations identified the programs that should be concluded and those conducive to improvements in sectors such as transport, communication and information, agriculture, commerce, oil and mining, as well as the social missions.

According to Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and technical secretary for the Cuban side, Roberto Lopez, during 2015 more than 60 joint projects will be developed.

Thanks to the Cuban cooperation there are tangible improvements in the area of health, education and quality of life of the Venezuelan population, said Deputy Minister for Economic Cooperation and technical secretary for Venezuela, Ramon Gordils at the start of the talks.

Next October will mark 15 years of the start of the agreements between the two countries, driven by the late President Hugo Chavez and the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro.

During that time, the partnership between Cuban and Venezuelan strengthened the brotherhood relations between the two countries, officials say.

To date, about 200,000 Cuban collaborators served in this South American nation as part of bilateral agreements.
