Uruguayan President Feels Sorrow over Fidel Castro’s Death

Montevideo – Uruguayan President Tabare Vazquez on Saturday expressed sorrow over the death of the Commander-in-Chief of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro.

In a message published by the Presidency of the Republic, the statesman conveyed his condolences to the government, the family of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution and the entire Cuban people ‘in light of this sad event’.

Vazquez is in Spain as part of a tour of several European countries.

Fidel passed away on Friday night in Havana at the age of 90 and his remains will be cremated in accordance with his express wishes.
