Maradona Remembers 40 Years of Debut with Argentinean Soccer Team

Buenos Aires, Feb 26 (Prensa Latina) Argentinean former soccer star Diego Armando Maradona remembered with joy his 40 years from his debut with the Argentinean national soccer team, in a message in the social networks Sunday.

‘Today, 40 years ago now, I made my personal debut with the prettiest and brightest team shirt, the one of the national socer team of Argentina. But I would like to also remember a benefit match we had 25 years ago in the city of Tres Arroyos, for a center to help disabled people, called Caminemos Juntos, in Buenos Aires,’ Maradona published in Facebook Sunday.

With the national team, Maradona was World Champion in 1986, a runner-up in 1990 and World Junior Champion in 1979, besides obtaining the Artemio Franchi Award in 1993.

Four days ago, press media remembered the debut of Diego Armando Maradona 36 years ago with local soccer club Boca Juniors at La Bombonera Stadium, in 1981. tac/mem/may
