Artemisa, Cuba - With the presence of Gladys Martínez Verdecia, President of the Artemisa Provincial Defense Council, took place the usual meeting in the capital city to confront and control COVID-19.
So far, the municipality has a complex situation with a total of 58 autochthonous positive cases for an incidence rate of 69.4 per one hundred thousand inhabitants.
The popular councils most affected are Reparto Nuevo, Centro, Lincoln and Corojal, there are positive cases in all of them, which represents a greater spread of the disease.
Martínez Verdecia specified that it is necessary to deepen the analysis of the investigations, since today it appears as a negative indicator, when patients with symptoms suggestive of COVID-19 arrive at the health area, who were not inquiry in their homes.
The president of the structure in the province said that today the most important thing is not to work a lot, but to work with quality, rigor, precision, in order to find the largest number of suspected cases in the community and avoid complications.
One of the indications given to fac the increase of positive cases and contacts is the opening of the Lincoln University as a center of isolation.
